The new Porto Biomechanics Laboratory “LABIOMEP” at the University of Porto recently chose MTw Awinda as an important tool for their daily research activities.

Xsens was invited as a special guest presenter to the opening ceremony of “LABIOMEP” which took place from 5 – 7 December 2012.

Xsens product specialist, Giovanni Nolli, presented a workshop about the use of inertial sensors (IMU) in movement science. The Xsens MTw Awinda official training and live demonstration was the highlight of the event program.

Among the visitors were professors and researchers from different faculties such as: Sports Science, Engineering, Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

LABIOMEP is a technological center dedicated to scientific and technological research, innovation and teaching. The aim of the lab is to provide specialized technical services and knowledge transfer of technology for biomechanics, ergonomics, clinical use and sports science.
