ROBOTARIUM is a newly founded robotics research lab by the School of Engineering & Physical Sciences and The Department of Computer Science at Heriot-Watt University and the School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh which aims to study robot motion, human motion and motion transfer between robots and humans, manipulation, human-robot interaction, agent based systems, computer vision and other related areas.

"Our aim is to use data captured using the Xsens MVN system to transfer the human motion onto robots. We have worked with several systems before but only Xsens has provided sufficient accuracy, consistency and robustness for highly dynamic and challenging environments with close contacts with obstacles. We are working towards applying our methods and this high quality data to robot platforms such as the Baxter (Rethink Robotics), Nao (Aldebaran), Atlas (Boston Dynamics) and Valkyrie (NASA)", says Sethu Vijayakumar, director IPAB at University of Edinburgh.

They have done some preliminary experiments based with motion transfer to Baxter - Rethink Robotics, you can watch it here:
