They will be using the Xsens MTw Awinda system to examine the effects of cardiopulmonary kickboxing (CKB) on body function. Data collected during the study will aid in the overall goal to discover effective ways to improve motor control for those living with motor impairments or compromised balance.

The MTw Awinda system provides a way for their team to analyze balance skill changes participants may have over the course of the study. Those data will be useful in providing additional treatment options for those with motor impairments. If their expectations are correct, and CKB does indeed improve the balance of their participants, this information could better the quality of life of many people.
